In order to accommodate state-of-the-art security systems, the entrance lobbies of both the Bluemle Life Sciences Building and the Edison Building were renovated and simultaneously upgraded to comply with Americans with Disability Act (ADA) requirements. In both buildings, the work included the addition of optical turnstiles and a security desk with a video workstation and a Visitor Management System workstation. Security video cameras were also installed at exit doors in both lobbies. Within the Bluemle facility, the existing elevator call station was also upgraded. In the Edison facility, an intercom station providing communication and access control was also installed.
